Thelma came in for a top up loan. Credit committee agreed the loan on the basis that she has her child benefit paid in directly - because her payments in the past had often been late. Thelma was 'over the moon' to be offered this new service and said she would have done it before had we offered this service then. Thelma added 'it takes the worry out of remembering to repay as I have a lot on my mind with a very sick relative'.  If you would like to have your benefits paid in to your membership account - speak to a member of staff.  

James tells us that he has been affected by a loan shark in the Northfield area. 'I couldn't sleep and was always worrying.' His advice - 'don't get involved with people coming to your door offering easy money, it is not so easy in the long run'.
