Do you accept photocopies or scans of my ID for membership?
No we do not. Citysave Credit Union is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA). Part of this regulation requires us to accurately identify all members of the credit union to a prescribed standard. Part of this standard is to see original copies of documentation. We are required to see one from each box below:
What next? Do I need to do anything once I have provided ID?
Here at Citysave all our members matter. You will be called usually within one business day to go through our 'Welcome Call' which lets your know more about our products and services but more importantly it allows you to set up a savings plan with us.
Can I get a loan straight away?
Yes you can. Traditionally, credit unions will lend a multiple of savings that you have built up. Here at Citysave we lend based on your ability to repay. No matter what your situation, you can apply for a loan alongside membership.
How can I access my savings? Is there a fee?
You can access your savings in a range of ways. You can call the office during these hours on 0121 616 6200 and request a withdrawal, or you can manage your account online 24/7 by logging in here. If you are not registered then please click here to set up your online account.
A normal BACs withdrawal is completely free and takes the standard two working days. You can pay a fee of £10 to have the money sent to your nominated account the same day via faster payment. If you have our Cashplanner account, with pre-paid Visa Debit card, you can have the card loaded within the hour at no extra cost.
